Alien: Covenant 'Let Me Out' Clip Teases Gory Horror

The Alien franchise will attempt to right the ship (so to speak) with the release of Alien Covenant in just a few weeks. After failing to provide the full prequel experience that was promised with Prometheus, director Ridley Scott is back with a movie that tells of a space vessel full of hopeful couples, who have the tragic luck of landing on the planet where Elizabeth Shaw tracked The Engineers.

...Of course, lurking on that planet are a horde of Xenomorph monsters, who make short, bloody, work of the ill-prepared lovers.

The scene featured in the clip is one that fans have seen featured in virtually every Alien Covenant trailer and promo - and it's a sequence that Comicbook.com's Brandon Davis revealed is even more terrifying and gory, after he attended an extended preview of Alien Covenant earlier this spring.

More to the point: this is only the beginning of the horror and gore that we'll see in Alien Covenant, which should be all the indication you need about just how dark and horrifying this movie is going to be.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape

Alien: Covenant hits theaters May 19.
