Aliens: How To Build Your Own LEGO Loader

Custom LEGO sets are one of the most versatile, and often impressive, ways that toy collectors can express themselves.

To that end, the official LEGO company has a site set up where sets can be submitted for consideration as an official product, and there are dozens of fan-run pages around the internet showing off the work of LEGO enthusiasts who are either creating something out of thin air, or homaging their favorite cultural and pop cultural properties.

The latest? Check out this awesome battle between Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley and a xenomorph in a custom-built loader as seen in James Cameron's Aliens.

The best part? Not only has Daniel Schlumpp put one together, but he's created a guide at DansBrickBuilds.com that will allow anybody with the pieces and the motivation to do the same.

You can check out a gallery Schlumpp put together attached here, or download and interact with his instruction booklet at the link above.

More than thirty years later, of course, Schlumpp isn't the only one inspired by James Cameron's classic films; Ridley Scott has another new Alien movie coming later this year.

In Alien: Covenant, headed toward a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they believe to be an uncharted paradise, but it is actually a dark, menacing world in which the only inhabitant is the synthetic David (Michael Fassbender), a survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott, and stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby.

Alien: Covenant opens in theaters May 19, 2017.
