Ava DuVernay To Direct Disney's A Wrinkle In Time

Selma director Ava DuVernay has signed on to direct Disney's adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's classic, award-winning children's novel A Wrinkle in Time.
A Wrinkle in Time tells the story of a young girl who goes on an incredible journey in search of her missing scientist father, who disappeared while working on a mysterious government project called a tesseract. The journey leads her into the fifth dimension, where she visits new planets inhabited by fantastic creatures.
DuVarney is best known for directed the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic Selma. She was reportedly in the running to direct Marvel Studios' Black Panther movie, but a deal never materialized.
A Wrinkle in Time will be written by Frozen's Jennifer Lee.
