In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fans of the new DC movie universe will meet not just that world's Batman, but also Alfred, Wonder Woman, and of course, Lex Luthor.
in an interview with Premiere France, actor Ben Affleck, who brings Bruce Wayne and Batman to life in the film, gave some insight on the other actors.
"I've been a fan of Jeremy Irons since high school," he said. He noted that he knew he "could rely on him to trigger real emotions," since the two share very close, and emotionally important scenes together.
As for Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, he compares him to two icons of the last two and a half decades.
"His Lex Luthor is reminiscent of [deceased Nirvana frontman] Kurt Cobain mixed with [Google co-founder] Larry Page. It's great! It makes me laugh and celebrates the uniqueness of our billionaires," looking at the differences between Lex and Bruce, he said. He does note that while it's certainly not said, both of these genius billionaires "may just be mentally ill!"
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
