Batman creator Bob Kane was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. During the ceremony, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder was invited to speak to the crowd that had gathered. During his prepared speech, Snyder recounted seeing Ben Affleck in his Batsuit from the film for the first time.
"We put him in front of the camera, and I was just having him turn and look around a little bit, looking Batman-ish…and when I looked at Ben he was the perfect personification of the Batman I had in my mind."
Hear it for yourself in Variety's video of the event, embedded below. Snyder speaks around 20 minutes in.
