Beauty & The Beast Trailer Compared With The Animated Version

When the live action Beauty and the Beast was originally announced, fans weren't sure if Disney was going for a reinterpretation as they did with Maleficent or the retelling route like with Cinderella. Once the newest trailer hit, that debate was firmly settled, and a new side by side comparison shows just how much the studio is taking the retelling aspect of it to heart.

The newest trailer featured many callbacks to the beloved animated original, but when they're put side by side (courtesy of MoviePilot), you can see just how closely the film is following its predecessor. That can either be a positive or a negative, depending on what you were expecting, but for fans who just wanted to see the magic of the original in live action form, the film seems to be full of that amazing Disney magic.

Beauty and the Beast will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.
