Captain America: Civil War Tickets On Sale on AMCTheaters.com
03/08/2016 06:49 pm EST
While no official announcement has gone out, we can confirm that at press time, Captain America: Civil War tickets are on sale on AMCTheaters.com. We've gone through the checkout process, and even picked out seats at reserved seating IMAX showings of the film.
Tickets are not available on any other major theater chain's sites, however, nor are they available on AMC partner Fandango's website, where times are listed, but clicking on them brings you to a placeholder page, nor on MovieTickets.com, either.
AMCTheaters.com and Fandango both put Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets on sale slightly ahead of their then already-announced times, so this could be the precursor to an official launch of ticket sales. The timing wouldn't be off, with less than two months until the opening and set visit embargoes lifting this week.
It could also mean a new trailer is coming shortly, giving us another look at the film. Ant-Man will be revealed in his new movie costume in the video game Disney Infinity on March 15, and Marvel Studios tries to stay in front of toy/tie-in releases with their trailers, after all.
Or, it could all be a mistake, but if you buy your tickets right now, chances are AMC will honor them. So if you can't wait to see Iron Man and Captain America punch each other, now's your moment.
