Fast And Furious 9 Could Be Here Sooner Than You Think

When you live your life a quarter mile at a time, it eventually starts to pay off. The Fast & Furious franchise seemed dead in the water for a number of years, but it has come back with a serious vengeance. Fate Of The Furious - the eighth film in the franchise - opened in theaters this weekend, and broke a global box office record with its $532.5 million haul.

With that in mind, it's pretty easy to believe that more Furious films are on the way. There are supposed to be a total of 10 films when the franchise is all said and done, which means fans can prepare for two more in the coming years.

While there hasn't been an official announcement regarding a Furious 9 release date, it seems like Vin Diesel confirmed the upcoming sequel back in 2016.

In an Instagram post a while back, Diesel posted the release dates for the eighth, ninth, and tenth films in the Furious franchise. Fate Of The Furious stuck to this release date, so it's safe to assume the next two films will as well.

After the massive success of F8, you can expect some kind of announcement regarding the next film sometime soon. With only two years until Vin Diesel's release date for the next movie, the team will have to get ready to head back to work.
