Funko Shows Off Aladdin Dorbz

Funko's Dorbz line of figurines has been growing in popularity in recent years. The stylized, yet simple designs allow for countless possibilities in the world of pop culture, from Marvel and DC properties to Power Rangers and Masters of the Universe.

And now, the company has unveiled a series of Dorbz tied to one of Disney's classics, Aladdin. The vinyl collectible line will feature three characters from the 1992 animated film - Jasmine's tiger Rajah, the villainous Jafar, and Robin Williams' iconic role as the Genie.

The Genie will actually have two options available for purchase - a 'common' blue Genie, and a red Genie modeled after the evil Genie that Jafar is turned into during the film. The red Genie will be a 'chase' figure with a one in six rarity, making it a little bit more difficult for fans to find.

In addition to the Chase Genie Dorbz, the Jafar Dorbz figure will have a limited run of 4,000 pieces. So if you're looking to gather a complete set, get ready to go on an adventure fit for Aladdin's title character.

While Aladdin has become a fan-favorite in the years since its release - also thanks to the popular Broadway musical that launched in 2011 - the franchise is expected to be taken in a whole new direction in the very near future. A live-action reboot of the film is set to begin filming this year, and will be helmed by Guy Richie.
