Happy birthday to Alexandra Shipp who turns 24 today!

Shipp, known for starring roles in Drumline: A New Beat, House of Anubis, and Alvin and the Chipmunks, will soon be an icon in the comics community. Her birthday celebration kicked off a little early as she appeared at San Diego Comic Con over the past weekend in promotion of her upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse. The first look at Shipp as Storm in the upcoming Fox/Marvel film was revealed when the movie's first trailer debuted to a packed Hall H.

Before Apocalypse tries to persuade mutants to take over the world, Shipp will be seen in the Straight Outta Compton biopic about Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Eazy E.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters May 27, 2016.
