Josh Helman Returning As William Stryker In X-Men: Apocalypse
07/17/2015 11:56 am EDT
Josh Helman will reprise his role as William Stryker from X-Men: Days of Future Past in X-Men: Apocalypse. Helman's return was confirmed by a photo posted to director Bryan Singer's Instagram feed of Helman standing with Rose Byrne, who plays Moira MacTaggert.
Well, he'll be playing someone who looks like William Stryker at least. Days of Future Past ended with Mystique impersonating Stryker and hauling Wolverine away. The fate of the actual William Stryker is unknown.
Stryker is heavily tied to Wolverine's origin story in the X-Men movie universe, so this may hint that at least a reference to Wolverine's whereabouts during the events of Apocalypse is in store.
