Marvel and Disney Pledge to Boycott Georgia if Discriminatory Bill Passed

Georgia currently has a "religious liberty bill" pending before Governor Nathan Deal, passed by Georgia legislators last week. The bill allows faith-based organizations to deny services or employment to "those who violate their sincerely held religious belief," which covers homosexuals, and could also discriminate against those of other religions.
The MPAA spoke against the legislation on Monday, saying "We are confident that Governor Deal will not allow a discriminatory bill to become law in Georgia," according to MPAA senior vice president of state government affairs Vans Stevenson.
Disney put out a statement saying that if the bill is passed, they'll be leaving Georgia, currently a hub for Marvel Studios.
"Disney and Marvel are inclusive companies, and although we have had great experiences filming in Georgia, we will plan to take our business elsewhere should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law," Disney told Variety.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is currently filming at Pinewood Studios Atlanta, and Captain America: Civil War was filmed there in 2015.
