Neill Blomkamp Teases Alien Movie Concept Art?
01/04/2015 02:13 pm EST
It looks like Neill Blomkamp, who is best known as the director behind District 9 and Elysium, was recently working on some type of Alien project, probably a movie. Earlier today, Blomkamp posted seven pieces of concept art and one desk photo, which featured characters and scenes related to the Alien movies.
Along with the first piece of artwork, Blomkamp wrote, "Was working on this. Don't think I am anymore. Love it though. #alien #xenomorph." In a subsequent piece of artwork, Blomkamp added, "Woulda rocked. Was a mental stroll into the world Ridley Scott created."
In answering fan questions, Blomkamp revealed that the artwork was "done by awesome French concept artist. Developed idea and art, but I don't think I'll make it."
While it seems that Blomkamp is no longer involved in the project, he didn't offer any other details, so it's possible that the project could have been something besides a film.
