The new Ghostbuters will be taking on criminals of New York City's past, when director Paul Feig's new film hits theaters in 2016.

Entertainment Weekly reveals that the new team of Ghostbusters – played by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones – will be taking on ghostly criminals from history, including "pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters."

The reveal comes with a new photo form the film, seen above, and some comments from McCarthy about the legion of internet doubters who don't believe this all-female cast can live up to the original film's heroes, played by the likes of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis.

"If this doesn't work, we go back and lose our [right to] vote," McCarthy jokes. "I'm talking presuffragette."
