Fox is working on a Rocky Horror Picture show television remake to coincide with the cult film's 40th anniversary.
The two-hour television event is tentatively titled The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event and would readapt the classic film's score and script with a drastically different visual style.
A remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been in the works at Fox, in one form or another, since 2002.
The original 1975 Rocky Horror Picture Show is an adaptation of the 1973 musical by Richard O'Brien. The film is still played in theaters regularly, and is enjoying the longest running theatrical distribution of any film in history.
