Ronda Rousey has been vocal about her desire to play comic book heroine Captain Marvel, but now she's discusses her desire to play a video game heroine as well.
The UFC star tells Gamespot that she's always wanted to play Samus Aran, the iconic protagonist of Nintendo's Metroid franchise.
I've always wanted to be Samus. That would be badass. I love how people found out later that it was a hot chick on the inside. And then most of the day you're in a suit, so you can just hang out and eat donuts and be the star of Metroid. I hope they make a movie out of that.
When Rousey mentioned that people "found out later that it was a hot chick" she is referring to the ending of the original Metroid. Since Samus is in her spacesuit throughout the entire Nintendo Entertainment System game, there was no telling what he gender was. It was only upon completion of the game that Samus' armor came off to reveal her appearance.
