Terminator: Genisys To Take on Destiny, Immortality

In their Summer Movie Preview this week, Entertainment Weekly talked to a couple of the stars of the forthcoming Terminator: Genisys about what makes them excited for the film.
"The script expands on our preconceived notions of who John Connor is," said Jason Clarke, who plays John Connor. "So I knew I couldn't just show up and lay down some hard military guy. There's a lot more going on than that."
The movie bounces through the timeline, dealing with both an adult John Connor and his mother, Sarah, when she's young at roughly the same time as The Terminator. And ever present -- for good and evil -- is franchise anchor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reprises his role as the T-800 in a surprising new way.
"How cool is it not to feel pain? How cool is it to be like a machine?" Schwarzenegger said. "You can be indestructible. It's a heroic character. I think people admire all this stuff." Not that he's biased.
Terminator Genisys stars franchise icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as newcomers Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee, and JK Simmons. The film is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World).
Terminator Genisys opens July 1, 2015.
