It's wedgie power time!

Back in 2014, musician, comedian, actor and author Weird Al Yankovic appeared on Nickelodeon's literacy-focused animated series Wallykazam, coming up with a song that teaches kids the word "underpants." While promoting his appearance, he told Rolling Stone: "I asked my agent to get me as many voiceover gigs as possible where I get to repeatedly say the word 'underpants.'"

Obviously, it made him a natural fit to perform the theme song for DreamWorks' upcoming animated movie Captain Underpants. "It's not a bird and it's not a plane/And it's not an egg salad sandwich," Yankovic sings in the video above. "It's the waistband warrior/Hear his mighty battle cry: Tra la la!"

Weird Al Yankovic is best known for writing, producing, and singing numerous parody songs of popular songs. He has also appeared in several movies and TV shows. His movies include The Naked Gun trilogy, UHF, Safety Patrol, Halloween II, and more. You might also recognize him as the voice of Darkseid in Teen Titans GO!

Two scheming fourth graders, George Beard (Kevin Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch) whose personal missions are to play pranks, hide in their secret treehouse and write comic books. But when they accidentally bring their favorite comic book character, Captain Underpants, to life through a hypnosis accident involving their megalomaniacal principal Mr. Krupp (Ed Helms), their elementary school life becomes anything but elementary. Rounding out the cast will be Jordan Peele who will voice Melvin, the nerdy nemesis of George and Harold, and Nick Kroll as the insidious villain, Professor Poopypants.

Directed by David Soren (Turbo) and based on a script by Nick Stoller (The Muppets).

Captain Underpants will be released on June 2, 2017.
