Fresh off her gold medal win with the United States women's gymnastics team in Rio, Gabby Douglas has been announced as a judge for the upcoming 2017 Miss America pageant, E! News reports. Douglas' role as judge was announced Monday by the Miss America Organization.

"Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year," Douglas said in a statement. "The contestants are a great example of strong women across America and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent!"

The gymnast will join singer and actress Laura Marano, Shark Tank star Mark Cuban, actress Sara Foster, singer Cole Swindell and former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes on the competition's judging panel.

The Miss America Competition will air live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall Sept. 11 on ABC.
