Pop superstar Taylor Swift has been dismissed as a prospective juror in an aggravated rape/kidnapping case after she informed the judge that she has a pending civil lawsuit involving sexual assault.

According to TMZ, the case that the "Blank Space" singer was dismissed from involved man who was accused of penetrating a woman with a broom handle after holding her at bay. Swift felt that she would not be able to serve as an unbiased juror in this particular case.

The 26-year-old musician believed that she could not be impartial in light of the fact that she is in the middle of a case in Colorado in which a DJ allegedly fondled her while backstage at a concert in September of 2015.

The judge thought this was a worthy excuse, and T-Swift has been dismissed from the jury panel for cause.

The current case that Taylor Swift is in the midst of involves Denver radio personality, David Mueller. The DJ first sued Swift because he claimed that Swift's camp wrongly accused him of inappropriately touching her before a concert, which resulted in him being fired from his job as host on 98.5 KYGO's Ryno and Jackson show.

Swift in response slapped a countersuit on Muller. The suit read: "Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault - it was Mueller. Resolution of this counterclaim will demonstrate that Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and wrongful conduct targeted against Ms. Swift, and will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts."

Do you think the judge was right to allow Taylor Swift to be dismissed from jury duty?
