Andy Serkis Confirms Snoke Does Not Meet [SPOILER] in 'The Last Jedi'

Supreme Leader Snoke merely appeared as a massive hologram in The Force Awakens, but various toys and images in anticipation of the upcoming sequel have implied audiences will get to see the figure in the flesh. Snoke, who is played by Andy Serkis, will certainly interact with members of The First Order, but according to Serkis, there's a member of the Resistance he definitely won't encounter.

***WARNING: Potential spoilers for The Last Jedi below***

When speaking with The List, Serkis confirmed that his character doesn't interact with General Leia Organa, portrayed by Carrie Fisher.

"I had no scenes with Carrie but I did get to know her a little bit," Serkis confirmed. "She was an incredible human being with a wonderful personality and she's sadly, sadly missed and everyone who came into contact with her was really touched by her great energy and great sense of humor."

The Force Awakens showed Snoke interacting with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), but only as a hologram. Based on Serkis' comments, it sounds like we'll get to see all three characters interact in the flesh.

"She is a wonderful person and I did have a great time working with the cast and Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson, we've had some really great times on it," Serkis explained.

This is only the latest clue we've gotten this week about what to expect from Snoke, with an interview earlier this week hinting at Serkis having to wear fake facial hair to film sequences in the sequel.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Garfield, who stars in Serkis' directorial debut Breathe, recalled an instance in which Serkis attended a pre-production meeting in Snoke garb, including fake facial hair.

"It was a really difficult discussion, and Andy tried to take part as our director, and we couldn't take it seriously!" Garfield joked. "I think he's more used to wearing that outfit than regular clothes."

What the facial hair could have been remains unknown, but potentially hints at the film featuring a flashback to the Supreme Leader's early years.

The Last Jedi will land in theaters on December 15.
