This Crochet AT-AT Is A Must Have For Star Wars Fans

If you like Star Wars and crocheting, then you need to check out one particular Etsy page ASAP. In a galaxy not so far away, retailer Krawka is selling crochet patterns to make one adorable AT-AT from the Star Wars universe. So, if you've been needing a new arts project, then you have an excuse to go buy some new yarn.

Over on Krawka's site, you can read about the design and what the finished product should look like. "Crochet walker, when finished, is 26 cm tall (10.2 inches), 28 cm long (11 inches). He is quite large and therefore we will have a lot of parts to make, please be patient and don't give up because the end result is totally worth it... oh (I almost forgot) May the force be with you!!"

"This pattern is for the medium advanced crocheters but if you are ready to try I am always ready to help. There are a lot of mainly easy to make parts. You should know basic crochet stitches including chain, slip stitch, single crochet, decrease, increase, double crochet, half double crochet, treble and how to start with magic ring."

Star Wars is not the only geek-friendly franchise represented in Krawka's store. The retailer sells crochet patterns for series like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and more.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hit US theaters December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it's the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core "Skywalker Saga" of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue One tells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set between the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and shortly before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. In the film, resistance fighters embark on a daring mission to steal the Empire's plans for the Death Star.
