The sixth Die Hard movie will be a prequel/sequel hybrid currently titled Die Hard: Year One, and Bruce Willis is coming back for it, or well, for parts of it. The actor, who has now been playing John McClane for 27 years, is excited for what's coming next.

"It's a very good idea, a really tricky idea," Willis told Entertainment Tonight. "I'm very happy about it. It's a really cool idea, because it's the origin story. It's gonna happen at the beginning of this. We're going to bounce back and forth."

Willis didn't have any idea who'll be the young version of McClane just yet, but said, "hopefully he's got a hard head."

Die Hard: Year One, if that is the final title, already has groundwork to build from. A comic book by the same name was published in 2009 and 2010 by BOOM! Studios, written by Howard Chaykin. The stories dealt with John McClane as a rookie cop, then as a first year detective. No official direct connection between the two has been laid, though BOOM! Studios now lives on the 20th Century Fox lot, and the company has a first look deal with Fox TV.
