LEGO To Produce Doctor Who Sets And Minifigures

The LEGO Group has signed a deal with the BBC to create LEGO playsets and minifigures based on Doctor Who.

Minifugres will include the various incarnations if THe Doctor, his companions, and villains like the Daleks, the Cybermen, and the Weeping Angels.

The idea for a Doctor Who LEGO set was first introcuded to the toy manufacturer by a fan named Andrew Clark, via the LEGO Ideas website. You can see mockups of Clark's idea in the gallery below.

Doctor Who LEGO sets are now going into development and are expected to be available in time for Christmas.

The Doctor and worlds based on Doctor Who will also be appearing in LEGO Dimensions, the toys-to-life videogames releasing Sept. 27.

Doctor Who Series 9 premieres Sept. 19.
