Starring Emma Watson, the extended trailer gave audiences a better look at the actress' rendition of Belle. Other characters like the Beast were featured prominently as well as Gaston and Lefou. And, of course, fans were quick to spot the Beast's litany of servants who were transformed alongside him years ago.

The footage shows a slew of action-packed scenes which will be familiar to any Beauty and the Beast fan. The piece begins with an extended look at Belle and her father speaking before the latter inventor is captured by the Beast. However, things turn when Belle takes his place. The pair clash until a climatic scene in the wintery woods forces them together. And, by the film's end - well, we all know what happens.

Fans have been waiting for a new trailer to drop at any times thanks to an update from the British Board of Film Classification. The agency rated a Beauty and the Beast trailer earlier in the week that allegedly clocks in at one minutes and thirty seconds.

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle's eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston's long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.
