The Best Cosplay We Saw at New York Comic Con 2016: Day One

Hours ago, ComicBook.com wrapped up an exciting first day of coverage at New York Comic Con 2016.

We spoke with dozens of creative professionals from your favorite movies, TV shows, and comic books, as well as bringing you breaking news from some of the biggest panel presentations of the weekend.

We're going to keep it up through the weekend -- it only gets bigger after Thursday -- starting in less than an hour, but in the meantime, conrtibuting photographer Zach D. Roberts put together a gallery of some of the coolest cosplay he saw wandering around the convention floor and around the Javits Center yesterday.

Every year, the Jacob K. Javits Center is home to New York Comic Con, one of the world's largest celebrations of popular culture, with an emphasis on all things geek. Last year, more than 150,000 eager fans made their way to Manhattan to celebrate all things comics. This year, it's expected to be even more, although with a lot of offsite events around the neighborhood, it's not expected to be quite as crowded.
