The Flash & Arrow: Five Things To Expect From This Year's Crossover

The crossover between The Flash and Arrow launches tonight, with the first installment of the two-night, two-episode event airing on The CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We've seen both parts already, and besides being big fans, we figured we'd take this opportunity to tease you a little bit...because, let's be honest, The CW has done a pretty decent job of not spoiling most of the story, so there are always going to be a few people who want more clues.

Check 'em out...

Flashbacks

There are, indeed, flashbacks in the episodes -- but those hoping for a continuation of Oliver's battle of wills against Baron Reiter on Lian Yu will be disappointed.

Callbacks

One of the longest-running storylines on Arrow is going to take a big step forward...because of something that happens on The Flash.

Casualties

Will everybody survive the crossover? While it seems like kind of a strange question to ask, the expectation of safety is rocked early and often throughout the episode and will take some pretty clever thinking to keep everybody alive...

Wells

...and not just against Savage. An unexpected threat rocks Harry to his core, and there could be only one person who's able to protect him (hint: it isn't Barry).

GIFs

Yes, there are a number of sequences in these episodes that are bound to be turned into GIFs and start circulating in fan circles almost immediately after they hit the air.

...Both good, and bad.

The Flash airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, and Arrow airs at the same time, same channel, tomorrow night.
