The Magicians Pilot Streaming Online For Free

SyFy would really, really like you to watch its new slate of scripted programming. And you should! Shows like the The Expanse have had solid debut seasons, and there's more from the network to come.

Next on SyFy's schedule is The Magicians. They've already secretly aired the pilot for the series, based on Lev Grossman's novels, late one night, and now they've made it available to stream for free on YouTube.

If the cliffhanger is killing you, don't worry. When the episode officially airs on Syfy on Jan. 25, it will immediately be followed by Episode 2.

The Magicians stars Jason Ralph (A Most Violent Year, Aquarius) as Quentin Coldwater, a brilliant grad student who enrolls in Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy, a secret upstate New York university specializing in magic. He and his 20-something friends soon discover that the magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity. Stella Maeve (Chicago P.D.), Hale Appleman (Teeth), Arjun Gupta (Nurse Jackie) and Summer Bishil (Towelhead, Lucky 7) also star in this one hour drama.
