Chris Carter, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Glen Morgan discuss what's to come in the 6-episode revival of The X-Files in this "First Look" featurette Fox has just released.
Executive Producer/writer/director Glen Mogan shared that the first and last episodes of the mini-series will focus on the show's mythology, while the ones in the middle will be standalone episodes. "We are playing with this mythology in a whole new way," Carter added. "And the government's secreting of evidence about exterresterials might come into play."
Check out the featurette in the video below.
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their iconic roles as Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully in the upcoming event series which will encompass a mixture of stand-alone investigative episodes and those that further the original show's seminal mythology. In the opening episode, Mulder and Scully take on a case of a possible alien abductee.
The X-Files has a two-night season premiere airing Sunday January 24, 2016 10-11pm ET/7-8pm PT (after NFC Championship Game) and Monday January 25, 2016 at 8pm.
