Expectations are quite hight for the forthcoming Invasion! Four-way crossover between The CW's Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. It's ambitious to be certain, but the team is reassuring fans that it will draw from the original source material.

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke with EW about the big event, and for fans of the original storyline involving the alien race known as The Dominators, you'll be in for a treat.

"I will say that their goal is very closely related to what was established in the comics, and it does have to do with metahumans,""It's very, very faithful to the comics."

As for how this event compares to past ones, the scope has grown considerably, which makes sense since this is the first time it will include four different shows.

"This year, we're doing by far the most ambitious crossover we've ever done. It's basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it's crossing over all four shows. It's telling one big epic movie of a story. It's not setting up any other spin-offs, it's just big, bombastic, huge action. There's also some really poignant character moments. There's a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover. It's by far the most ambitious thing we've ever attempted. I want to say it's by far one of the most ambitious things anyone in network television has ever attempted. It's completely insane."

While fans wait for the Invasion crossover to take shape, up next for Arrow is the debut of Cody Rhodes in "Moment of Truth". The official description for the episode can be found below.

WRESTLING STAR CODY RHODES BRINGS THE SMACK DOWN TO STAR CITY —Now that Oliver (Stephen Amell) has his new team, they are ready to hit the streets but Oliver doesn't feel they are ready. Headstrong Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) defies the Green Arrow's orders and sets out on his own after a new drug dealer, Derek Sampson (guest star Cody Rhodes), who is terrorizing Star City. Sampson proves more powerful than Wild Dog and it is up to the Green Arrow to go head to head with Sampson to save his teammate.

Supergirl airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The Flash airs on Tuesday in the same time and place; Arrow on Wednesday and DC's Legends of Tomorrow on Thursday.
