Arrow: Stephen Amell Teases One Intense Season 6 Fight

Arrow is set to return for its sixth season this October, quickly pitting the titular hero against a whole slew of new threats. And judging by a recent video posted by the series' star, Stephen Amell, it will take some pretty intense fight scenes to help vanquish those threats.

Earlier this week, Amell shared footage of him in character as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, fighting off a gang of thugs in one fell swoop. You can check it out below.

The footage is rather short - clocking in at just around twelve seconds - but it does give a good indication of what to expect in Arrow's upcoming sixth season. The cast and crew have promised that the newest chapter will take the series back to its street-level roots, with Team Arrow set to face off against its newest big bad, grounded crime lord Richard Dragon.

It's unclear if the thugs are underlings of Richard Dragon, or are tied to another sort of plot. With the promise of plenty of 'personal villains' that will effect the team next season, the possibilities are pretty limitless.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his "family".

Supergirl premieres on Monday, October 9th at 8 pm, while The Flash debuts on Tuesday, October 10th at 8 pm. Legends of Tomorrow moves to Tuesdays this Fall, airing right after The Flash on October 10th. On Thursday, October 12th at 9 pm Arrow will premiere to round out the DC roster.
