Stephen Amell Teases Getting Back Into A Wrestling Ring Again

05/30/2017 09:58 am EDT

Stephen Amell spent most of this season facing off against Prometheus, but it wasn't too long ago that he was facing down another opponent in an unfamiliar place, a WWE ring.

With season 5 of Arrow wrapped, Amell had the chance to talk about it with fans at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in London. During the panel, wrestling happened to come up, and Amell still hasn't completely lost the but for it.

"I would love to do something with wrestling again. I don't know what that's going to be. I think being with WWE would be really cool. I think that Cody who I worked with is doing such great stuff with Ring of Honor and New Japan. That would be cool. Um, but I need to get back to the ring one more time."

Amell entered into a fun comic themed program with Rhodes during his time as Stardust. The two had several encounters on television with a live match between the two culminating at SummerSlam. Amell wants to get in the ring one more time, as his original appearance was a nerve-wracking affair.

"Because the first time I was so, the second I stepped outside of the curtain, all of the moisture was zapped from my entire mouth. I was so nervous, so nervous that I literally forgot to get in the ring."

Rhodes is with a different company now as he alluded to, but it would still be great to see them lock up again as part of Ring of Honor or New Japan, or even TNA, which Rhodes has also worked with. While you're waiting for that to happen you can boot up the DVR and watch the Arrow season 5 finale, and the synopsis is included below.

You can catch the entire Heroes and Villains Fan Fest Q&A panel in the video above.

The battle between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) culminates in a final epic battle on Lian Yu. After recent events, Oliver decides to recruit a group of unlikely allies – Slade (guest star Manu Bennett), Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law), Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Digger Harkness (guest star Nick. E. Tarabay) – to defeat Chase. However, Chase has his own army – Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy), Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin) and Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig) – and the forces collide in an explosive season finale.
