Batman: Rogues Gallery Mr. Freeze Figure Debuts From Play Arts

Batman has arguably the greatest rogues gallery in all of comics, and towards the top of that revered list is the somber and deadly Mr. Freeze. Play Arts and Square Enix have decided to mash the two together, and the results are simply fantastic.

The newest entry in the Batman: Rogues Gallery line gives the Dark Knight a Mr. Freeze themed makeover, and like the previous figures in the line contains an impressive amount of detail (via Toyark). The cape is covered in a sheet of ice, with similar effects on his chest armor, cowl, and boots. The fabric on the torso and legs has an insulated texture, and his cowl also features a special mask over his mouth that keeps the cold in.

That process is helped by numerous ice canisters that adorn his shoulders, and two more sets of canisters are hooked to his upper thighs. Freeze has never been one to keep all the ice to himself, though, so Batman's utility belt comes equipped with several ice grenades, and it wouldn't be Freeze without his Freeze gun, so Batman comes with one of those as well. The canisters and the inner coil of the gun also have a purple and blue translucent hue to them, which just looks incredibly slick in the light.

The figure also comes with interchangeable hands, a Batarang, and a tube to connect his Freeze gun to his armor. Batman stands at 10 inches tall and features all the impressive articulation you've come to expect from the Play Arts Kai line.

You can find more photos of the impressive figure in the gallery, and Mr. Freeze Batman is scheduled to hit stores in April of 2017. He should be up for pre-order soon and will retail for $173.
