The CW has released the first four promitional images for "LaWanda: The Book of Hope," the second episode of their forthcoming DC Comics adaptation Black Lightning.
The series premieres on January 16, and the second episode centers on a woman (the titular LaWanda) whose child is missing. Since Black Lightning's civilian identity is Jefferson Pierce, school principal, this is a crisis that has the potential to involve both parts of his life.
There is no official synopsis available for the episode yet.
You can see the photos in the attached image gallery.
Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he'll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.
Black Lightning will premiere on January 16th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, following the midseason premiere of The Flash.
