DC Rebirth: [SPOILER] Returns in Batman and the Flash's Watchmen Crossover Mystery

Ever since Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, and others returned nostalgia to the DC Universe in Rebirth, fans have been following breadcrumbs throughout the line to see where the Watchmen mystery would take them next.

A mysterious figure in Superman, a mysterious button in the Flash, a returning Wally West in Titans, and an imprisoned Legionnaire in Batman have all contributed clues to the overall mystery, but we've yet to see any answers.

That's all set to change with a crossover between the Batman and Flash titles, with Tom King, Jason Fabok, Joshua Williamson, and Howard Porter all set to put the world's greatest detectives on a path to find out the significance of that blood-stained smiley face.

DC has just released a preview of Jason Fabok's lenticular cover for The Flash #21, the second part of the crossover, hinting at a certain villain's return.

Scroll down to check out the animated image of the cover, featuring the spoilerific return of a certain character.

If you don't want to be spoiled, well, why did you click on the article?!?

Last chance... Here it is!

The REVERSE FLASH is back on the cover for Flash #21!

But that's not just any version of the Reverse Flash, as the costume seems to indicate that it's the pre-Flashpoint version of the character leaping for the Comedian's Button.

Could the Reverse-Flash be imprisoned with the other members of Mr. Oz's "collection?" Is he the mystery character that kickstarts the Superman: Reborn event, as well?

In addition to these lenticular covers for $3.99, fans can also get the regularly priced covers for the Rebirth-standard $2.99. The crossover begins April 19 in Batman #21.
