DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of Justice League #24, due in stores next week from writer Dan Abnett and artist Ian Churchill.

The issue is a fill-in, originally solicited as being the third part of a story by series writer Bryan Hitch, but the "Afterlives" story has been pushed to accommodate guest issues by Abnett as well as Shea Fontana (DC Super Hero Girls) and Tom DeFalco (Reggie & Me).

You can check out the totally-not-at-all official solicitation text below, and the preview pages in the attached image gallery.

In a fill-in story from best-selling writer Dan Abnett and artist Ian Churchill, the events of Aquaman come home to roost when the Justice League finds themselves investigating a massive natural disaster, which leads to a confrontation with Mera, Aquaman's distraught wife.

The issue hits the stands on Wednesday, July 5; you can get a copy, either from your local comic shop or on ComiXology.
