Friends Meets The Super Friends In Amazing New Mashup

After seeing Phoebe as Supergirl in the Friends Halloween episode, you probably wondered aloud "I wonder what heroes the rest of the cast would be?" A new video answers the question in delightful Super Friends inspired fashion.

The video from Nerdist features the Super Friends animation style and casts the cast of the hit sitcom as heroes from the show. Joey uses his heat vision to keep his date away from his fries, while Phoebe uses her Aqua-musical gifts (probably not a word) to summon a horde of smelly cats. Perhaps the best one though is the Wonder Twins pairing of Ross and Monica, and humping Marcel completes the package. The video was animated by Dilara Mundy and narrated by Michael W. Shaw, with a soundtrack by Jon Odate, and you can view the full video above.

You can view the official description below.

What happens when you combine the greatest sitcom of all time with the greatest superheroes of all time? You get the SUPER FRIENDS; a team of champions dedicated to truth, justice and hanging out all day at their local coffee shop. This animated video reimagines the opening of the classic 70's SUPER FRIENDS cartoon show by mashing it up with the classic 90's live action sitcom, FRIENDS. Batman becomes Chandler, using his super computer to rate the pros and cons of potential girlfriends. Superman becomes Joey, using his super powers to protect his dinner from dates who want to share food. And the Wonder Twins are now Ross and Monica, complete with their amazing, leg humping pet monkey Marcel. It's a super team so powerful they could only be brought together by the most powerful force on earth; 90s nostalgia!

While much different in tone, the heroes of the DCEU will join up onscreen in Justice League, and you can view the official synopsis below.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ciarán Hinds (Steppenwolf), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Amber Heard (Mera), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).

DC and Warner Bros. have a full slate ahead, with Teen Titans: The Judas Contract coming first on April 4, 2017. After that it's time for Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017. The Batman is expected sometime in 2018, with The Flash debuting on March 23, 2018. Aquaman is set for October 5, 2018, and Nightwing's solo feature is due sometime in 2019.
