Gotham EP Teases Bruce And Selina's Relationship Going Forward

Just as quickly as Selina and Bruce officially became a couple, they young lovers were torn apart by the unsavory actions of her con-artist mother and, more importantly, that her new boyfriend wasn't open about what he knew and how he was handling the situation. Selina was none too pleased about being left in the dark, so she broke up with Bruce by slugging him square in the jaw. Ouch!

This Monday, Gotham returns with an all new episode, and in it, we'll find out that Selina and Bruce haven't spoken for quite some time. Is there any chance they will reconcile this season?

"It is a teenage relationship. It is a tortured one. I think we'll see them both come together and get pushed apart again," executive producer John Stephens told TV Guide. "The element of the Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle relationship that we as all fans know is that they are bound together and attracted to one another, but at their core they are also both mission-driven and loners. They push each other apart constantly. That dynamic we will watch again over the course of the season because they are drawn together, but they also can't be together."

Nygma convinces himself that he doesn't need Penguin to succeed and begins to introduce himself to Gotham as "The Riddler." Bullock and Lucius Fox get caught up in Nygma's mind games, while Gordon learns troubling news about his father's death. Meanwhile, the Court of the Owls reveals its next move.

The regular cast features: Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, and Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter.

The guest cast includes James Remar as Frank Gordon and H. Foley as Winston Peters.

The spring premiere of Gotham, which is titled "Heroes Rise: How the Riddler Got His Name," will air Monday, April 24 at 8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT on FOX.
