'Gotham' Casts 'Fringe' Alum As Professor Pyg In Season 4

Bruce Wayne may be learning how to don the cowl, but the Gotham hero will have yet another villain to deal with in Season Four.

This fall, DC Comics villain Professor Pyg is heading to Gotham. According to TV Line, Fringe and The Good Wife alum Michael Cerveris has been cast as the Circus of Strange leader.

"Michael is one of my best friends. He was in my film school graduation movie, when we were both amateurs," Gotham executive producer Danny Cannon told TV Line. "And now he's joining the fold as Professor Pyg."

The report also indicated that the character would appear in multiple episodes.

This news comes after the reveal that Scarecrow would be a major villain in Season Four, so it looks as though Gotham is heading in a frightening new direction.

Gotham will return to Fox on September 21st at 8 p.m. ET.
