Hillary Clinton Likens Herself To Wonder Woman

Although former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has yet to see Wonder Woman, she hypothesized the story of her campaign last year is comparable to the events set in the movie.
In a surprise video honoring actress Elizabeth Banks for winning the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, the former Democratic candidate mentioned her plans to see the movie.
"Something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley," Clinton said in the clip.

Clinton, the former Secretary of State in the Obama administration and two-term Senator from New York, made history last year as she was the first woman to earn the nomination of one of the two major political parties.
Although winning the popular vote by nearly three million votes, Clinton's opponent Donald Trump won several key swing states to give him the electoral votes to secure the presidency.
With a large political figure such as Clinton commenting on the superhero genre, it's fairly hard to go unnoticed. Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins saw the clip and took to Twitter to share her thanks.
"Wow, amazing!!! Thank you @HillaryClinton!!" Jenkins tweeted. "I really hope you like it."

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).
Wonder Woman is in theaters now, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
