Jimmy Kimmel Turns Donald Trump Into Lex Luthor
01/27/2017 11:04 am EST
Jimmy Kimmel took some time during his opening monologue to poke and jab at the newly inaugurated President of the United States.
The late night host spoke about Donald Trump's first televised interview since moving into the White House, saying he "sounded so much like a super villain."
"It was quite a sit-down," Kimmel began, "it became downright menacing at one point."
Kimmel was referring to a question David Muir asked President Trump regarding whether the denial of aid to Syrian refugees would result in more anger from Muslim communities.
Trump's response prompted an edition of a new Kimmel Kartoon, in which they took Trump's answer and imposed it over footage from the Justice League animated series episode "A Better World" in which President Lex Luthor meets with Superman in the Oval Office.
"Here's what happens when the Man of Steel meets the President of Gold," Kimmel said when introducing the clip.
The DC references did not end in the monologue as Jason Momoa later stopped by later in the program to talk Aquaman, Justice League and his inability to keep a secret.
