Justice League Movie Statues Give The Best Look Yet at Cyborg, Aquaman, And The Flash

It looks like that "tactical" Batman costume that drew so many comparisons to Watchmen's Nite-Owl will be a big part of the Justice League movie marketing: a new series of 12" statues from DC Collectibles shows off each member of the team, and Batman is wearing that suit instead of the more "traditional," Frank Miller-influenced batsuit of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Superman, meanwhile, seems to be wearing exactly the same thing as he was the last time we saw him (except for the gaping hole that was in the chest of his costume back then), and the same for Wonder Woman and The Flash.

Fans also get their best looks yet at most of these costumes in fairly close-up, solo images released of each of the main Leaguers. That includes Aquaman in his full suit of Atlantean armor, and Cyborg.

With Superman striking a pose that's a bit more heroic and epic than the rest, that will likely set some people to speculating about exactly how death and rebirth might have affected the gloomy, cinematic Man of Steel. Batman, too, is a bit more "himself," with a pose that would look at home in a horror cover by Francesco Francavilla or Ryan Sook.

These images are just making their way onto the internet, from where the statues have apparently been unveiled at Toy Fair in New York, so there is no official release or pricing information yet.

The film is in post-production for a November release, although given Snyder's tendency to interact with his audience, fans have seen more peeks at the film than they have at DC's next film project, Patty Jenkins's Wonder Woman. Both films are debuting quite a few new toys, models, and the like at Toy Fair this week. Funko announced a line of Pop figures based on Justice League and another based on Wonder Woman over the last few days.

That film is expected to hit theaters in June and will be the first DC Films release over which DC chief creative officer and president Geoff Johns exercised a lot of control. Johns got his title bump and was moved to the head of Warner Bros.' DC Films division following disappointing reviews for Suicide Squad, which nevertheless was considered a big enough box office hit to spawn both a sequel and a spinoff.
