Kevin Smith's The Flash Season 3 Episode Title Revealed As Killer Frost

Kevin Smith entered the world of The Flash last season with the episode "The Runaway Dinosaur." Now he's back for more.

In July, we learned that Kevin Smith would be directing the seventh episode of The Flash Season 3. Now the episode's title has been revealed, and it's teasing a villain's return.

The Flash Season 3 Episode 7 is titled "Killer Frost." The episode title was revealed when Kevin Smith tweeted out a photograph of his script's title page.

Fans of The Flash will know that Killer Frost is the metahuman Earth-2 doppelgänger of Barry Allen's friend and ally, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker).

The last time Killer Frost was seen on The Flash, she had betrayed the serial killer speedster Zoom. Killer Frost fired an icicle at Caitlin Snow, but Zoom used his speed to grab the icicle out of the air and stab Killer Frost through the stomach.

Zoom left Killer Frost behind to bleed out from her wound. As such, most fans of The Flash assumed that she was dead. The "Killer Frost" episode title seems to suggest otherwise.

On the other hand, it could be that Earth-1 Caitlin Snow is going through some serious changes in The Flash Season 3. Or, perhaps more likely, there' a Killer Frost in the "Flashpoint" universe, though episode seven may be too late in the season for that, given that we know the effects of "Flashpoint" won't last all season long.

We now know that "Killer Frost" is the title of Kevin Smith's The Flash Season 3 episode, but it seems that may have only raised even more questions.

The Flash Season 3 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
