Life-Size Wonder Woman LEGO Statue To Be Displayed At Comic-Con

It's hard to ignore Wonder Woman when she's in a room. The Amazonian warrior is almost impossible to overlook as she stuns in her iconic ensemble and knee-high boots. The hero, who recently returned to the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is slated to appear in her own solo film next year. The film's star-studded cast will be appearing at this year's San Diego Comic Con, and DC Entertainment has very literally blocked out plans to honor the character with a life-size LEGO statue.

SDCC's schedule is jam-packed as Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will have plenty of panels to keep comic fans hyped. With DC Comics' newest Rebirth arc launched this summer, Wonder Woman fans have been treated to a well-received spin-off series that focuses on the strong-willed warrior. And, soon, SDCC attendees will get to see Gal Gadot heading a Wonder Woman panel alongside her cast mates. As this year also coincides with Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary, DC decided to go all out and pulled strings with LEGO to have a GIANT Wonder Woman statue erected in honor of the beloved character.

The massive creation stands at over 6'1" and contains a whopping 22,736 LEGOs. Should the statue tragically break whilst on display, walking through the fall-out would be a nightmare for any soul unlucky enough to step on a rogue brick. The complex piece took nearly 100 hours to design and then required another 218 hours to build as a team of artists assembled it.

The final product, however, is very befitting of Wonder Woman as it features the character in her iconic red-and-blue costume. Fitted with a sword and golden tiara, the LEGO statue manages to capture the hero's powerful stance and no-nonsense attitude with unexplainable ease.

Honestly, the statue probably a better chance of taking down any of the hero's nemeses than most fans ever will. So, if you're lucky enough to attend SDCC later this week, it'd probably be best to avoid messing with the statue unless you're keen on having security or Diana herself to bat you away.
