Rumored Green Lantern Corps Director Revealed

The DCEU has been like a rollercoaster ride over the last few months, resulting in a bevy of activity around solo tentpoles like Aquaman and The Flash. Now the latest rumor surrounds the further out Green Lantern Corps and the role of director.
According to reporter Jeff Sneider (Meet The Movie Press), he says "I'm hearing David Goyer could very well wind up directing Green Lantern Corps himself." Sneider also points out that other screenwriters have or are making this transitioin, including Simon Kinberg (rumored to be directing the next X-Men film) and Christopher McQuarrie (Mission Impossible franchise). Goyer has been entrenched in the DCEU since its inception and is already writing the Green Lantern Corps film along with Justin Rhodes.
The film is still in the development phase, but there are few better versed with the vision of the DCEU than Goyer. Still, there will be plenty of fans who would rather have someone a bit more experienced in the director's role take on the task of translating Green Lantern to film, a project which currently has a 3.45 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation Rankings.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.
Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
