Supergirl and Martian Manhunter Prepare to Fight White Martians in New Poster

Because the air on Slaver's Moon is toxic to Martians, Martian Manhunter/J'onn J'onzz couldn't rescue Supergirl and Mon-El in last week's midseason premiere—though he did provide the DEO extraction team with a useful solar energy bomb. And since this Monday's "We Can Be Heroes" episode focuses on Livewire cementing her status as Supergirl's archnemsis, Martian Manhunter will probably find himself on the periphery once again.

But don't fret, Martian Manhunter will take the spotlight—along with Miss Martian/M'gann M'orzz—in the following episode, which is titled "The Martian Chronicles." In the episode, the DEO comes under siege from White Martians, who have come to take M'gann back to Mars to stand trial for abandoning her post and helping green Martians escape the camps.

David Harewood, the actor who portrays the Last Son of Mars, is so excited about the upcoming episode that he released a new poster for it. Its tagline reads, "WORLDS CLASH. HEROES UNITE," and it features Martain Manhunter and Supergirl (look at them arms!) looking pumped and ready for action.

WHITE MARTIANS ATTACK THE DEO — Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M'gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the best way to keep M'gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M'gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them.

"The Martian Chronicles" episode of Supergirl—which was directed by David McWhirter and written by Gabriel Llanas and Anna Musky-Goldwyn—will air February 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
