Supergirl: Katie McGrath Wants Jason Momoa To Guest Star

In its two seasons, Supergirl has boasted a large number of cameos from actors previously in other DC properties. Past Supergirls Helen Slater and Laura Vandervoort, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman's Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, and former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter have all made appearances on the show in new and surprising ways.

And now, one of the show's cast members wants to add another DC actor to the list - one from the current DC Extended Universe.

While speaking to CinemaBlend, Katie McGrath - recently promoted to a series regular for Supergirl's third season - revealed what DCEU star she would like to play against for an episode. As it turns out, it's Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa.

"I've worked with him before and I love him." McGrath explained, referring to the historical drama Frontier. "He gives the best hugs and he's the nicest man. And he is the actor I've worked with the most that has surprised me. You have a preconceived notion about who he is because of what he looks like and he comes in and he acts you off the screen."

Obviously, given the continuity differences between Supergirl's DCTV universe and the DCEU, it would be safe to assume that Momoa would not play the King of Atlantis if he were to make his way to the show. But according to McGrath, who plays Lena Luthor on the series, that shouldn't matter for the actor.

"I'd love to see him in any role. He doesn't have to be Aquaman. I don't care. He can come in and stand in the back of a shot and hold a pint of Guinness if he wants. He's just a delight to be on set with. I think everyone would watch that. The man is a god. He is a sea god, an actual god."

Given Momoa's recent schedule - including his Aquaman solo film, which is currently filming - it's unclear if he would get a chance to appear on Supergirl. But it would certainly provide a memorable cameo for fans of both live-action DC universes.
