Supergirl Season 2 Episode 17: Sneak Preview for Kevin Smith's Distant Sun

Clerks and Mallrats filmmaker, Kevin Smith, directed his first Supergirl episode earlier this season. It was ninth episode, titled "Supergirl Lives," aired in January, and was about Kara and Mon-El traveling to Slaver's Moon to rescue a missing girl (played by Smith's daughter, Harley Quinn Smith).
Smith had a good time working on the show that he decided to come back and direct another episode this season, and it is titled "Distant Sun," will air next Monday, and feature the return of former Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter. Check out its trailer in the video above.
A large bounty is put out on Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and aliens from far and near attack National City intent on taking out the woman of steel. Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) run into Maggie's ex-girlfriend, Emily (guest star Hayley Sales), who is in town for a week. Hank (David Harewood) gets an interesting order from President Marsdin (guest star Lynda Carter).
Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn.

Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.
"Star-Crossed" episode of Supergirl airs Monday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
