Supernatural Stars Comment On Possible Arrow Crossover

Two of The CW's longest-running properties have been Supernatural and Arrow. While the shows have drastically different tones and subject matters - as well as different universes of canon - jokes have often been made about the two crossing over.
And while Arrow star Stephen Amell seems well on board with the idea, it appears the same can't be said for Supernatural's leads. During a recent appearance on Conan - in celebration of this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con - Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki were asked about the potential crossover.
"It would be odd." Ackles explained. "[It'd be like] 'Tonight on Law and Order... Arrow."
Padalecki echoed this, joking that several factors - including the actors' heights - could prevent the crossover from coming to fruition.
"Stephen's a big guy," Padalecki joked, "but he'd want some apple boxes and stuff to stand on. So, you know, it might never happen."
For now, fans of both shows certainly have plenty of other crossovers to look forward to. Arrow will commence in its fourth annual crossover with its DCTV sister shows this fall, while Supernatural will have an animated crossover episode with Scooby-Doo (yes, really) in its upcoming thirteenth season.
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).
Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his "family".
Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros.
