The Flash EP Previews Kevin Smith's Killer Frost Episode

Barry's actions have consequences, something the speedster is finally coming to grips with in season 3 of The Flash. His latest confrontation is with one of his best friends Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), who is slowly losing control to her inner Killer Frost.

The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing described Caitilyn's metamorphosis, and how the team will deal with having to fight one of their best friends.

"In order to save Barry Caitlin needed to use her powers. That sort of kickstarted the metamorphosis for the powers overtaking Caitlin's better judgment. As the power starts to grow, she is slowly starting to shift into Killer Frost, so in this episode, we really dive into Caitlin Frost as we're calling her. She isn't quite herself and she kind of goes against the team and it's really Barry and Cisco that have to go up and fight one of their best friends and sort of stop her from fully turning into Killer Frost."

"KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS; KILLER FROST EMERGES — Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) uses her powers to save Barry (Grant Gustin) but as her mother predicted, the effort unleashes her inner Killer Frost. Killer Frost goes on a rampage looking for Dr. Alchemy, kidnapping Julian (Tom Felton) and battling both The Flash and Vibe (Carlos Valdes). Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) have a heart to heart."
